Through these short conversations, we try to understand what our customers think about us. Today, we are travelling to Mexico City to speak to Ofelia Hernandez Hernandez, Technical Director, and Margarita Valdez Gonzalez, General Director of Tecnicas Geneticas Aplicadas a la Clinica (TGAC).

TGAC is a laboratory specialized in clinical analysis, through which its main objectives are the diagnostic support for the prevention and treatment of diseases. Specialized in molecular infectious diseases,  immunogenetics, ontogenetic and cellular markers, TGAC’s mission is to provide accurate results to its clients in a timely manner, taking full advantage of the technological infrastructure, knowledge, and values of human capital in order to contribute to a higher quality of life.

1. Could you explain what your activities consists of?

Tecnicas Geneticas Aplicadas a la Clinica (TGAC) is a highly specialized clinical analysis laboratory, delivering trustworthy results based on national and international norms through innovative technology with trained, committed, and competent workforce for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases.

2. Why is there a need for cold storage in your organization?

It is important to store blood samples and diverse specimens in a reliable cold chain, as this helps preserve the integrity of the cells and genetic material of the sample. We also store reagents which require cold storage, therefore ensuring the quality of the samples from the moment they are received until they are ready for use.

3. Which products did you buy from B Medical Systems? For which purpose?

We currently have the B381, the transport boxes MT4 and MT12, and a PR490G. The refrigeration equipment and transport boxes are fundamental to maintain the biological samples during storage and transport, as they are designed to maintain the temperature at specific and constant levels for prolonged timeframes and across long distances.

4. What are the features that you liked the most? Could you please talk about the performance of the devices?

The characteristics we like the most are that B Medical Systems’ devices provide temperature monitoring in a simple and precise way, separate from the visual options of the equipment’s functionalities. The products’ innovative design, spacious capacity, and color are other characteristics that make us very happy.

5. How are you using the B Medical Systems’ product and how does it benefit your institution?

At TGAC, we use the products to store biological and infectious samples. B Medical Systems’ innovative technologies guarantee that even during high-stress situations, such as very high ambient temperatures or loss of electricity, we are always able to reliably maintain our samples safe. Furthermore, the monitoring software is easy to use and allows us to accurately track the condition of the cold chain equipment and our samples.

6. Have you found in B Medical Systems a trustworthy partner?

These products are so good, that we know more and more colleagues in the healthcare sector prefer them. Large-scale hospitals are also using the same equipment.

7. How did you learn about B Medical Systems?

We met the company through two friends who have great experience in handling various instruments and electronic equipment for clinical and pharmaceutical use. In 2018 an affiliate then approached us to convince us to purchase the first equipment, introducing us to the brand.

8. How long have you been a B Medical Systems customer?

It has been five years since the purchase of our first PR 490G. We then added an MT4 medical transport box, an MT12 transport box and finally a second refrigerator, a B381, for our respiratory samples (for COVID-19), which was extremely useful.

9. Are you satisfied with the equipment?

We are very satisfied, with a rating of “excellent” for all their products.

10. Would you recommend B Medical Systems?

We highly recommend B Medical Systems’ equipment to all our colleagues, and we are confident that it will exceed the expectations they will have for the cold chain they need.
