Continuing with its mission of saving lives, B Medical Systems has engaged in the UN Global Compact initiative. Our company has committed to acting responsibly in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. It also engaged to deliver on the Sustainable Development Goals through innovation and collaboration.
“At B Medical Systems, we pursue the mission of saving lives through reliable and innovative technology. We understand the global societal and environmental challenges that corporate activities pose to the planet and its population. To that end, we take full responsibility to protect the world we live in and ensure a healthy life for everyone, making sure no one is left behind”, says Luc Provost, CEO of B Medical Systems.
The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative with over 9,000 participants in 160 countries. It offers a ten principles-based approach to doing business responsibly in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. B Medical Systems strongly believes in these principles, which formed a core part of its strategy and policies. Joining the UN Global Compact is a formal acknowledgement of the company’s philosophy and intent.
In a broader societal and environmental effort, B Medical Systems committed to embracing the Sustainable Development Goals guided by the United Nations into its business model. The company promised to redouble its efforts particularly in ensuring good health, fighting inequalities and fostering innovation.
“We are already one step ahead with our solar-powered vaccine cold chain equipment. It ensures the safe vaccination of every child, even those who live in the most remote and off-grid communities of the world”, concludes Mr. Provost.
A yearly communication on progress describes in further detail the company’s efforts to implement the Ten Principles.
