B Medical Systems signs MoU with Adani Group to commence India operations.
B Medical Systems, a Luxembourg based global leader of vaccine cold chain and medical refrigeration has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Adani Group at the Embassy of Luxembourg in New Delhi. This partnership lays the foundation for B Medical Systems’ manufacturing in India.
B Medical Systems has entered into an agreement with the Adani Group for the establishment of its manufacturing facility and several technology initiatives in India. The objective of the MoU signed with the Adani Group includes the setting-up of a manufacturing facility in both Mundra SEZ and domestic tariff area, providing logistics for COVID-19 transportation domestically and globally and creating ‘Pharma Excellence Centers’ at the Adani group airports across India. There will also be a strong technology collaboration to bring State of the Art solar powered vaccine logistics solutions to India.
The MoU was signed today in the presence of H.E. Mr. Jean Claude Kugener, the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to India at the Embassy in New Delhi.
Ambassador Kugener highly welcomed this new partnership, which is a direct result of the successful bilateral virtual Summit of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Mr Narendra Modi and H.E. the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Mr. Xavier Bettel which was held on 19 November 2020. During this Summit, the Prime Ministers discussed the very strong bilateral relations, Luxembourg being the 15th Foreign Direct Investor (FDI) in India. The success story of the Luxembourgish company B Medical Systems, a global manufacturer of medical refrigeration with best in class and highly reliable cold chain, was highlighted in India’s fight of COVD-19 and the current immunization campaigns. “B Medical Systems will contribute to our already strong bilateral relations in India. With more than 40 years of global experience, B Medical Systems will launch its manufacturing “Make in India” in Gujarat contributing in saving many lives particularly in respecting the importance of the cold-chain refrigeration for the vaccines. I am looking forward to visiting the new premises and meeting the officials in the very near future. With my sincerest thanks to all those who have contributed to make this happen”.

Given the scale of the COVD-19 immunization campaign, we will help the roll-out achieve its goal by ensuring the safe transport and storage of all vaccines from -80 °C to +8 °C with full traceability throughout the value chain’’, said Mr. Jesal Doshi, the deputy CEO of B Medical Systems and the CEO of the company’s India operations.

B Medical Systems also announced a major partnership agreement with Parekh Integrated Services Pvt Ltd (PISPL), a leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider for the setup of the manufacturing plant, assembly, and the associated logistics last month.
B Medical Systems manufactures medical grade vaccine refrigerators, laboratory freezers, ultra-low freezers and transport boxes that can store and transport any vaccine in the temperature range of -86 °C to 8 °C. B Medical Systems has been working closely with the governments across the world to strengthen their national vaccine cold chain for the roll out of the COVID-19 vaccine. Its recent projects include the COVID-19 vaccine cold chain projects in Luxembourg, France, Germany, Indonesia, USA, Mexico etc.
